Re: Insurance
My renewal just came up with Hastings Direct. I used the Asda price comparison site and Bennetts came back at half the price. I went back to Hastings and got a £50 reduction. Still more expensive on paper but I went with them because I know by the time Bennetts have finished, their actual price will be a lot more than the original quote. Plus, Hastings cover me for any bike, which is really handy.

Re: Insurance
Just as a matter of interest - what sort of premiums - are you paying - for a C90 - full licence - aged fifty plus - vehicle garaged overnight?
I have motortrade insurance - block policy - and just add the numberplate of my 110i - but of late I have noticed on the covernote - they have restricted me to only bikes of 300cc or under.

£65-£70 per year TPFT. 56 year old rider, garaged overnight, and zero no claims*.remmington wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 7:15 pmJust as a matter of interest - what sort of premiums - are you paying - for a C90 - full licence - aged fifty plus - vehicle garaged overnight?
* I don't bother with the hassle of registering no-claims-discount for the Cub. My W800 costs around the same amount fully comprehansive, with maximum (9 years) no claims. I could register the Cub's no-claims years too but it's unlikely to drop the premiums enough to make worthwhile the "kill-me-now" feeling of explaining the intricacies of having two bikes on separate policies to insurance company admin people every year.

Re: Insurance
You should try explaining Diesel engined bikes to the insurance companies.
Could be worse, I hear the rat bike community have a really hard time....
Still at least it’s not a custom Cub.......
