Hi,
Can anyone confirm the above ? Reason being I would like the later headlamp as it uses the better type H4 bulb
Thanks in anticipation
Is Innova 125i headlight compatible with 125 carb housing ?

Sadly no, the headlight units are a completely different shape, one option would be to change the bulb holder if you want to use H4 bulbs but tbh lights on both injection and carby models are pretty bad compared to modern day equipment.
There could be options out there? I'm not overly familiar with lighting upgrades.

Hi, could try one of these , Ring Automotive RMU417 12V 35/35W Ba20D Halogen Headlamp upgrade @ £7 on Amazon & ebay .
But like Promonkey said both types of headlight are a weak point ! !
Cheers Vk. .

Have you got another innova Vk? Last I remember you got shut of the brown one and got a k75. I had another k75 not long back, but with rt bars.....lovely engine, but the weight was getting too much. The injection innovas do seem to vary slightly in their power or so it seems. My blue one certainly seemed to have a bit more poke than the silver and White inj ones I had.
I love the colour of the orange one you had. I've just sold my cub and I'm eyeing the innovas up again..... .

Why not just add a couple of cheap led spots....the conversion to the inj light although would be an improvement.....it's still lacking in my eyes.

An "H4" LED replacement makes it almost a joy to ride my injection Innova at night.
You have to put a fairly large capacitor in parallel, otherwise the light flickers like a strobe light, because it works directly off the negative half-wave from the single-phase alternator, and the LED's don't have a thick filament to even out the output.
Some brands of LED-bulbs are sensitive to correct plus and minus to the power supply boxes, which becomes a challenge since the Innova lighting system uses the negative half-wave from the rectifier, so the frame/ground is "plus" (in reality its zero or neutral, but the wire is negative)
Luckily, mine weren't, so I only needed the capacitor, 22000 µF 40V (The higher rated voltage, the better)
The LED's I use have been discontinued
