Put some holes in the collar in the filler neck and fill it up to the top ,the collar is about as thick as a bean tin so a sharp screw driver and a tap with a hammer will do the job. The collar is there to prevent the fuel leaking when it expands in the hot weather , 30 degrees plus
Thanks for the tip :) the only thing that bugs me is if I catch the side stand, when changing down gears my bike cuts off  thinking about wrapping a bungy cord round it :) .
Your have real trouble catching the stand, when changing down ive got size 12 feet and ive never managed it, also the stand has to go quite far before it cuts the engine, safer to leave it working.

I have a 2004 model and the connector block is up close by the ignition coil. One green and white wire and one plain green.

What are you doing to it?

I think you are missing a return spring, or it's a wrong one.

Are you using your toe to downshift?

You do not want it running on the side stand in gear, only to see it lurch forward and crash

The side stand is working fine & yes I do use my toe on the downshift, almost 6 years on my C90 and I never could master the heel & toe :) . I put a cable tie on it today as I always use the centre stand anyway, and no problems coming home tonight just have to remember I have 4 gears now :) .

Some years ago a guy with a lovely shiny Harley came out of a dealer in Manchester to his parked bike. I commented how smart it looked and he replied he wanted to trade it but the dealer hadn't offered enough. He climbed aboard, fired up, and rode off.

Just up the road he leaned the bike over to take the left at the lights. Crash bang wallop screech! The shiny bike was now a sorry sight as it lay in the road badly smashed. Yes, he'd left the side stand down.

Never, ever, even think of disconnecting your side stand switch except perhaps as a very temporary 'get you home' fix if it fails.

I'll leave it on and just take the cable tie off when I get it MOT'd :) .

Your gear lever is either turned 2 or 3 splines to far clockwise or is the wrong type for an Innova.

This is how it's supposed to be, and there's about 2 inches from the heel pedal to the side stand.

Here is my 2007 Honda Innova ANF 125 I guess looking at both gear levers, it was down to my clumsiness in missing the lever & catching the side standn  .
