My Ducati Monster has slight pitting on the forks, I use a smooth diamond file to flat them down and then wipe with ACF50 so they don’t corrode too quickly and try to nick the fork seals(upside-down forks).
I have also heard you can smooth any corrosion spots down and if the chrome plating is gone you can fill with araldite and flat it off. Depends if you want to restore it to new condition or make it a usuable commuter?

Btw I had a cg125 after owning a fireblade for 5 years lol! Owned it for a whole year and loved riding it. Best mpg figure I got was 120.3mpg, but generally it averaged 100mpg. Very simple bikes, make your own screen and you add about 5mph onto the top speed, approx 65mph.
Better quality parts and finish than the more modern Honda cbf125 that I owned last year.

No, sadly i traded it in along with a Suzuki Bandit 1200, the Honda CBF125 was a 2015 model(last they made before the replacement cb125f), i was gonna commute on the 125 and save the big bike for longer and weekend riding, unfortunately the temptation of power was too much for me, and 9 out of 10 times i took the 1200 Bandit instead, which meant the 125 really didn't get used(i did 2,600 miles on the CBF125, and 8,000+ on the Bandit).
Long story short, i made a decision to trade both bikes in against a 2yr old Kawasaki ER6N which i've got currently.

the er6-n is a great bike, Im thinking of selling the cg 125, lovely bike but using the Sh300 more.

on closer inspection it is not correct for that year, I don't expect much for that money, but I'm sure they did not have a front drum brake, although a prop stand is good.
Did the CG go back to being made somewhere other than Brazil. I brought a brand new C90 in 1985 and it rusted before the first service so don't want a repeat of that.

A lot of the C90's are still going due to the attention given to ward off the dreaded rust.
There's nothing that can't be done.
