My liking for the YBR is 138 kg weight, 4 gallon tank, 90 mph so good for motorways and 260 + mile range.
Those are really good points I never considered. I like the Suzuki V-Strom 250 because of the fuel range given that when you get right up the top of Scotland you can scratch around a bit for petrol stations and it’s seat height. Whilst it’s a refreshed Inazuma 250, that’s not a bad thing if you want a 250. It’s only the weight that lets it down a little but it also has a big tank so you can’t have it all I guess. I used to look at the Inazuma and think if it had better screen and luggage options I’d consider one. That’s now happened but it’s prising away the big bike from me now that’s the problem. Would I miss the power on tap, great brakes, good road manners etc etc? I’m guessing it’s a yes but I’m sure I’d be happy with a smaller bike.
Are there many YBR 250’s around?
There,s one near me a Suzuki v-strom 250 only ever seen 1 on the road and its this one,

It wasent my fault sitting hear ,well in another chair looking at mcn and ebay, there at Doble,s web-site there have got a pre-reg Honda vision so rung them up,which is allways bad,so had a chat, done a deal on a Honda vision 110 in red[had to be] there bought 25 from Honda uk,all per-reg by Honda uk.
Now there,s 1 less [at the time] so the tweet has now gone, nice scoot but that's it,done the deal over the phone got decent p/x we all want more.
Got free mounting plate matching top-box,so picked it up Thursdays last week,it was wet roads all the way there, and to school, left there later at night and it pissed down all the way back.
So is it better then my old [2013] one,it is,seems smoother/less busy revving so its in the garage, untill dry/warmer days [yeah] and got full tank of fuel .

English version: Richie found an ad at Doble's website, where they've got 25 pre-registered Honda Vision 110's, so he called them up and got a p/x deal on his Peugeot tweet. They even threw in a top-box and mounting plate.
He picked it up Thursday last week, and it was pouring down on his way back.
He think it is better than his old 2013, seems smoother and less busier revving, but now it's in the garage awaiting better weather.

Not long to wait now before my larger throttle body and bigger injector arrive for the Vision 110esp and hopefully the subject will be back on point. Only this time it will hopefully be about the extra performance I am hoping I can coax out of the engine.
If that doesn’t work, I have a spare 110esp engine sat in the garage. I’m about to start stripping it down to see if it will take the Kitaco 126cc light bore kit I have coming. It’s intended for the Dio 110 JF31 and JF52 ZOOMER-X but I have a feeling it will fit. On my log book my engine number mentions JF31 so we will see. My only slight concern is whether the acg starter system will turn it over as the compression will be raised from 9.5 to 11.1
It does have a decompression device on the camshaft though so it’s possible I guess. All will be revealed soon and hopefully the Vision uphill performance thread will be revived by my findings. If not, it’s performance uphill will improve being on the back of an AA truck!
We will see

Evening all, or should I say morning?

So today, well yesterday technically, I fitted the larger throttle body to my Vision 110esp. I also fitted a larger injector, reset the TPS and also the ECM as recommended in the Honda Service manual.....and off for a little spin I went.

So, after picking up some fuel I rode back home via the bank and it felt better than just the larger injector on its own. However, it’s not perfect and I wasn’t happy to leave it there. So, last night, before my daily shopping trip to Tesco I had the airbox apart and found a small snorkel type restrictor with an internal diameter of 20mm. That’s smaller than the stock throttle body opening at 22mm so out that came and I reset the ECM again ready for test run three. Now it’s still a work in progress BUT, I can confirm as I had suspected, the Vision 110esp has definitely gained more power with the mods I have done. On my test hill tonight (the A985 from Rosyth to Crombie) I flew up there at 55mph instead of my usual 47-48 by the time I get to the top. So we are not talking a huge leap in power here but there is without doubt more grunt. The scooter also seems quicker to 60mph now but there is nothing much after that. I think what’s happening is the bigger injector is still running a tad too rich despite the larger TB. I know from speaking to others that have played with FI systems using the stock ECM, I am most likely running too rich at the bottom and top of the rev range.
So, I have another plan that I will try.

On the Vision 110, there’s a function you can program on the ECM called the ‘altitude function’. I’m guessing it’s used to lean out an overly rich mixture due to the air being thinner at higher altitude and that might just do the trick for me.
Tomorrow I will experiment and again report back for anyone interested in this long continuing thread on the Vision 110esp.
