Re: Honda 110i Wave.
Well, that is what I felt on the Innova... you can definitely feel the extra umpf from the 125 cc powerplant, but that's about it. I did not like it... not just the looks, but the Innova doesn't have that Cub feel.
Imagine getting a C110i or the CC110i. I would so love to try one. And I would keep it to commute... I have my share of Cubs to keep me happy... 3 that is. + my mother's one that I get to see occasionally.

Re: Honda 110i Wave.
The 110 Cubs feel almost exactly like the Wave 110, same engine after all. Even the Classic 110 felt very different than the C90 of the same year (made alongside each other until 2011 I think it was). I think some of it is related to the plastic switchgear, but mostly I think it's that ultra quiet sewing machine exhaust/intake combo that makes the C90s what they are. The 110s sound like any other single out there.George wrote:Well, that is what I felt on the Innova... you can definitely feel the extra umpf from the 125 cc powerplant, but that's about it. Oh gawd, the stickers have started already.
By the time we're ready for the great european adventure it will be smothered and unrecognisable.
How about some fake grass or shagpile carpet instead?

BTW have you checked the important bits yet like the bearings and bushes before you start bolting on more stuff?

My excuse is that it all started with the rectangular black and orange one on the front 'cos it's broken there and there was a bit of Gaffa which needed replacing..................................then i just couldn't stop
Ordered a couple of mounting brackets for 1.5L Fuel Friend containers.
Still need a windscreen and a front basket Not any more, both items found and fitted.
Got a "sheep" for the seat but going to try the Airhawk first
Never thought of the "fake grass" option.....................going to google it now
Where would it look best ??
Had the rear wheel out for new brake shoes, bearings OK there. Front wheel is a next week job. Spins OK and no untoward noises.
Steering bearings feel OK.
Trimmed all the bushes and added fertilizer
BTW do you think the rattling at cold start up is the cam chain tensioner ? This is a 20K mile bike used as a delivery bike round London.
If so will it be worth renewing the spring and rubber tip ?

Re: Honda 110i Wave.
It's tensioner is more likely to be the Innova type, with the plastic slipper and ratchet adjuster. However this is a guess so best take a look and see.
