Was there ever a resolution as to what brake shoes fit the front brake?
Not investigated yet as been distracted by non motorcycling things. I really should fit the 250x17 M45 to the Riders front wheel which will give me the opportunity to look at the shoes. A friend has a couple of sets for his CG to compare with and TBH EBC's site has pretty accurate diagrams.

I'd imagine they've just used an, "off the shelf", set that fits other models...?

Wishful thinking?

Pretty sure they would be something from the parts bin. The drum is marked DIYANG GB5 max dia 131 which would seem to indicate the first ones to check would be the 1994-97 CG which are 130mm x 25 H330. Hope that's it as I'd like grooved shoes. :D

Just an idle enquiry as the Riders is in storage at the moment. Prompted by a post elsewhere.

The rear shocks are obviously adjustable but can't find any reference in the extensive documentation to the air valve.

Any ideas?

It's been a while since any updates on this thread.

I should really get my speedo drive gear sorted out, other than that. everything else is still going well.

Had to fix a rear puncture the other day. Looked like the inner tube had degraded rather than anything that penetrated.
Does anybody know the chain/sprocket pitch?
Was thinking about putting a 16 tooth front sprocket on. I'm guessing it's a 408?

The Riders parts list (page 53) reckons the chain as 428-96, never looked at mine so will have to check the Riders and Kayak too. TBH I had assumed it would be a 420 as the C90. A 16T sprocket sounds a good idea.

I will be fitting new Michelin HD tubes to my Riders after your comment!

If you don't have the parts list or handbook drop me a PM with your email and I can send them over.

Just back from an 86 mile run on the bike.

Brimmed up before setting off and filled up on return.

2.75L of ASDA unleaded, which works out, I think, at 143 MPG?

I'll try to get a photo up of the inner tube.
I suppose it's done ok, after roughly 8 years of service and two sets of tyres.

I'll send you a PM
