When I was at school, one of the 6th formers bought a new T140 Bonneville...US spec, red and black. Within a week or so it had seized...turned out the carbs had two different sized main jets...And one was too small....That's quality control and dedicated craftsmanship for you!

my mate's dad had a maxi, the later 1750. I thought it was brilliant...Huge thing that could carry a motorcycle in the back. Hydrospastic suspension and 5 speeds...seats folded flat to form a double bed. it was available, we were 17 ...That made it the best car in the world!
