Thinking of a v strom 650
Looks a good all rounder and a good mix of comfort speed and reliability
The bike that will do everything but excite. Owned every incarnation but the latest and couldn't fault any of them (except maybe the usual Suzuki furring)

Regret selling and would still own one but even the 650 hard for me to swing a leg over now

not ridden one although did have a sv650 for a short while
rode my dads cb500x which i think would be ideal bike if it had 67 bhp instead of 47 !

Sold !
Ended up getting rid as 2 weeks ago after only a few hours my neck was killing and next day couldn't turn my head
Also it was so super smooth and fast it was kind of boring !
Have something else in mind......

Been touring on the superdream ,but splashed out on a cbr1100xx blackbird and Krauser panniers
Only rode it home ,in the sleet ! ,need to get a spare key and go over it before trying it out properly
They are cheap ,i guess sports tourers are old hat these days what with everyone wanting adventure bikes.
The bar risers help but the legs are a but cramped ,will see how it goes ,if not may px it for a cbf1000
I had a CBF1000 and loved it! They are such an underrated bike and very versatile too. I toured most of Scotland on it over a couple years before selling it for a Pan European ST1100 which I also enjoyed. I’ve since turned to the dark side and have entered the world of BMW’s with an R1150RT which I have to say is brilliant. Long may sport tourers be out of fashion because I’m having a ball with them and for not much money either 👍
