I do the same.
Litre bottle 10/40 does filter change and gear oil.
I use a syringe to simply fill until it flows from thread hole

had a ride today into town [on my push-bike] spoke to address rider who works for subway,so you would think the scoot has done some miles.it has he bought it on a 20 reg. march/april 2020 new other then normal wear and tear, and i did see it,34300 miles up.any thing gone wrong no nothing ,and it like mine all did start up with a cluck,so they must all do that.

There's 2 on e-blag ex delivery 18K on each but says open to offers so my be a bargain for folk nearby.
Also 2 commuter ones both sensible-ish money but to far to travel/courier to be cost effective.

My white one is catching on the cooling fan, i think the housing has been knocked to many times loading in & out of removal vans

Going back to what Ernest Thrasher said, I always just nip the sump drain bolts up with fingers or spanner then use a torque wrench to tighten.
I use an aluminium washer for sealing to reduce the mixed metal problem. I've had the washer sometimes seize to the bolt but never the crankcase. I do a lot of miles on my engines so the oil gets changed regularly. Over the years that's a lot of stress on the alloy threads so I always use a torque wrench on the sump bolt.
One of my cubs has over 81,000 on it!!! Still with original engine! All my other cubs have 20 or 30,000 + miles on them.
I was wondering what the highest mileage ever recorded on a cub would be?
Has anyone ever taken one around the clock?

spoke to the address rider today,he tried a bigger wattage headlamp bulb,it kept flatting the battery,so he went back to the original one,now over 35000 miles.
