I too lament the digital fuel gauge, unless you see the moment it starts flashing you never know how much is left, the analogue one on the c90 is so much better and surprisingly accurate

I too carry a fuel bottle, mine is a litre, grey top sigg, I've heard though that re-priming the fuel system can be problematic

:)

The Wave AFS110i has a meter needle moving coil type fuel gauge - not a LCD bar graph type thing.

Re bleeding the FI system is a little bit of a problem. You need to be in the mood to crank it a bit.

Reason being there is no return on the fuel system like a car - once running they will cut out a few times before the all the air is evacuated.

When you really think about it - I am shocked they do bleed up so well - you have the smallest fuel pump known to man pushing air and fuel thru the smallest injector which uses the smallest amount of fuel known to man. Unlike a returned fuel pressure system with a fuel pressure regulator on the injector rail - this has pressure leak off in the pump in the tank.

I top my Innova up every 90 to 100 miles and usually get around £4.00 in it.
good tip re the 500ml bottle under the seat - can I ask where you bought this - there are some on e-bay sized 15.5cm x 16.3cm x 7.3cm
I know my cycle water bottle fits and that holds 600ml and is 22cm tall by 8cm round
My fuel gauge starts flashing empty at about 85/90 miles and I'm getting between 145 and 157 per gallon.
Shame they don't have a trip meter but I'll brim the tank early at 100 miles interval next time so it's easier to work out when I need it next time

Get a 2 stroke mix bottle from Screwfix. Is accepted by garages as safe fuel container, neck can accept a petrol hose to fill at the garage and is easy to pour into your tank when needed.
Also fits nicely vertical under my Innova seat. Cost about a fiver.
