Funny story..

I broke down at 1600, sun going down, getting colder .. was still waiting for the recovery vehicle at 1730 - pitch black, starting to freeze a bit.

A nice newly arrived security guard in a nearby office saw I was freezing outside said I could wait in his office's reception - as long as I didnt touch anything.. as he was the only one left in the building & was getting changed... off he went.

So, I was waiting nicely in the reception but now needed to relieve oneself - luckily there was a large disabled toilet just in the foyer.

I fumbled into the dark room & couldn't find the lightswitch - I guessed it was on the handy cord that easily came to hand .. and pulled it.

Bingo ! .. it was the emergency alarm & the whole place lit up - alarms - horns - flashing lights.. No doubt an ambulance was heading my way already..

Someone else appeared, I explained my error -the alarm was reset.. before my guy came back.. to have to explain WTF was going on to the various twilight folk that were emerging..

I quietly let myself out..

18,000 kms - chain snapped last night... recovery van called for the 5 miles back home.. took 2 hrs to arrive..

lower chainguard bit of a mess... better that than my legs..

Was ok at last years service, nicely lubricated - and not too tight..

When I picked up Mattt's Riders last year it was for Josh, my daughter's other half. I dropped it off, regretfully, as I really wanted to keep it for myself.

Their circumstances have changed and it looks like it is coming back to me. It was anyway to get a new front tyre and to fit a rear rack which would be complicated as it has the dualseat rail, won't bother with that now.

A friend wants to come on rides with the club and has been looking at the C125 which will fit in or on a Cooper rack on his Berlingo. We have also been looking at camper kits for the Berlingo anyway. If he can get on with the Riders (no demo C125 for him to try) I will be bringing it up to Scole in May and he will follow with his own accommodation.

Won't be selling it as have told Josh he can have it back if his circumstances allow. Might need to extend the Cub shed. :D

Keep the faith Riders riders!

Coming up to 20k kms on mine now.. still my daily ride.

A quick spray of WD40 round the spark cap fixed some rain induced spluttering last month.
Noticed the start of rust on the fork seams a few days back.

I think they are great bikes, never had any major problems over the whole time I owned it.
Ive currently got a TNT125 which is ok but I would probably buy another in the crate one if they started selling them again
although I doubt they are euro spec as no combined brakes and abs

Can't forsee muppet users though..

I carefully parked the cub, out of sight for security but too near a wall - & chose the wrong stand..
I usually use the side stand.. but this time...

Today I've been glueing the rear light assembly back on....

Did anybody here ever change the gearing ratio?

Was thinking about getting a one tooth larger front sprocket to reduce the revs.

Had the thing over the 100km/h mark on the Speedo yesterday down a long slight gradient and feel it would benefit.

Seems a 16 tooth is recommended for the C90 after a bit of reading?

Any ideas?

Cheers in advance.

I've changed the

spark plug ( Iridium )
tyres ( many )
battery
double seat
indicator switch
most bulbs &
axle bolt.. but not the sprocket..

I've got some Honda CG ?? shocks to put on ... at some point ..

Did you change the carburettor needle setting at any point ? Any difference ?
