What I find interesting is that its described as a genuine UK bike....

My dad bought a blue brand new one in 1963 and it had a (also blue) dual seat, in fact I don't ever remember seeing a single seat version. Also they definitely were branded as Honda 50's never Cubs.

Amusingly my mum made him get rid shortly before my 16th birthday in 1967, never realising that I had a Matchless 650 hiding away in a friends garage. Passed my test (on my 16th birthday) and took it home - her face was a picture...

Within a week she'd bought me a Reliant Regal van. In fact I still have a Reliant, haven't been without for 50+ years - a 1975 Kitten nowadays though. Strangely I kept the Regal for about 4 years after I passed my car test in Jan 1969 - it was cheap to run, reliable(ish) and kept me dry in the rain and warm in the winter!

Anyway, back on topic. It is superbly restored, maybe a bit over restored but not as over restored as priced! Three zero's too many methinks.

As Atodini says-badged as Honda 50 & fitted with dual seat. Methinks imported JDM bike with (from 1st August 1964) English reg-possibly a reregistered in UK AGE RELATED issued mark?
As far as reminiscences of the 60s go I was campaigning an uncared for Lambretta LD 150 with no previous CAREFUL owners in 1965-was my first powered 2 wheeler "LHS 468" and I was hooked on self-propulsion!!! Was already an avid cyclist since age of 11 when got my first Hercules 3 speed, followed by an Ernie Clements Falcon "racer" at 16 ( £32-10s-6d)
There was a lad at my school a year younger whose dad bought him a brand new Honda SS? 50 miniature motorcycle with 4? gears. It pulled two of us-I had full licence-he was on L plates revving the motor to what seemed like impossible heights to those of us brought up with British bikes or Italian scoots. Think my LD developed about 4bhp at crank!!! probably about the same as Gregs SS50? Happy Days!

The council should be billing him for the use of the island crossing where most of his photos are shot from so he gets the shop front in :D .
