Looks like the wrong centre stand, the back wheel is way too far off the ground

Very well spotted. You're right.
Professionally photographed but I have this feeling that it's probably not quite the same in reality. I'm sure I can see some paint irregularities around the base of the tank.

Basic economics 101: Things are worth what someone will pay for them.

My feeling is that the only person who would pay £7k for that bike meets both of the following two criteria:-

1. they owned that actual bike before and their rational judgement is clouded by nostalgia

2. they pi$$ money these days

8-)

Ergo, it may be up for £7k but nobody is going to pay that for it, especially when folks on here can pick holes in the bike just from photos.

advertised for: the "discerning collector". Collectors go for originality, low mileage, low previous owners and original documentation if paying top dollar. That bike seems to have non of those, the shop doesn't even mention previous owners or history.

looking at it again, I'd say the photo as been enhanced for effect. The rear wheel spokes are not original Honda, so I guess the seller as gone for the cheaper alternative aftermarket wheels and not original (you can still buy Honda rims (DID ) and Honda spokes) the wheel brake plates are polished aluminium and not painted. The rear indicators are the cheaper plastic aftermarket type and not metal, you can see the paint as come off(last photo) The seat has a new cover but no Honda logo. (probably one of Yvonnes from Car-Trim which are good covers by the way but have no Honda LOGO)

A nice looking bike but with a silly price tag

I don't care. Ask what you like. Market forces will prevail.

Seems I have the equivalent to some VW split screens under the tarp in the garden!

That won't be going no where at that price.
