is the v55/1 the correct document to register it I wonder ??, as heard about nightmares registering new imports.

No it’s not and unless it’s over ten years old and with correct import docs ie NOVA number it’s a pain in the a***.

You might need an SVA under 10 years old. Not certain, but think you might. Unless you can find the manufacturers conformity thingy... :?

NOVA isn't too bad in my experience. But for a V55/5 application, bikes over 10 years old are the best bet.
