That's really funny. Not sure I'd want to meet with the seller lest he charge me for the time in speaking to me.

Re: TopBox postage rant (by seller)
I have some sympathy though.
I pretty much stopped going on bike forums (except this one, naturally) for various reasons, but one was the overbearing attitude of a vocal minority of contributors that any profit was theft.
Endless moans about dealers taking trade ins then selling them on at a higher price, moans about delivery costs charged by traders and ebay sellers, continuous gripes about garage service charges.
In summary, I got sick of hearing people moaning because they didn't understand even basic economics.
So, I know where that rant is coming from.

Re: TopBox postage rant (by seller)
I had/have 200 Mitsubishi step motors. I was unable to find any info at all on them. I put five on ebay, and they went off at £1.31. I'd put three or four quid postage. I was fishing really, I was hoping someone would offer me £100 for the lot. Similar on Alibaba was like 50 cents, but they were all 5v, and strangely, these were 8v.
The purchaser came back to me saying first class parcel post up to a kilo was £1.35 or so less than I was charging him.
He got a two word reply, I refunded him and blocked him immediately. He came back with 'Your loss, I was interested in taking them all off you'
I relisted, and a Ukranian chap asked me if they might be Honda part number 36165-ZL0-D31
They were. I had £27,000 of stock retail.
Since I've been punting them out on ebay for £17.50 a pop the bottom has fallen out of the market! But a Google still shows them retailing between $50-$70.
I took great delight telling my miserable git buyer that he could have had the lot for a ton if he hadn't cribbed over £1.35 postage.

Hah. Guy obviously hasn't got the hang of Hermes/CollectPlus - you can get this stuff collected for less than the Post Office nowadays

Yeh, but heavy?
I'm presuming the "for parts, not working" bit is a way of reducing the ebay fees?
