my own experience with moto-gb hasn't been good. Chatting to a R/E owner at Rivvi barn once he summed them up as 'crate sellers', not 'motorcycle dealers'.

This is my symba just brought it and you do get a 3 year warranty which you wont get with others especially the cub clones and you get the classic looks dose fine for me as a commuter to get to from work gym etc although it's not on sale in UK sym do still have some in there wearhouse so you can get a brand new one with a 3 year warranty and my last sym scooter I had for 10 years nothing went wrong only thing that rearly need changing was drive belts brake pads etc the useral stuff.

Dont forget someone took a sym symba from California to Alaska 8,000 miles and back and the bikes never broke down went there and back no problembe just a few tyre changes along the way as you would expect so thats how good they are and sym made honds cubs under licence some people say the symba is better than the honda

The only thing that woukld make me sell the symba is if Honda brought the cub back to the UK I like the japanese C110 vut it's only in japan

thats a great looking bike johncas. The Symba is a very reliable bike, I'm sure it will last for years.

I am about to buy a 50 cc Scooter but I am undecided about which one of these two to buy - Kymco Sento 50 or the SYM Mio 50.

I will appreciate your comments and experiences with these two brands.

I almost bought one,secondhand with about 100 miles on it
It looked well finished ,the seat was too short and the bar in the middle was right where i needed to sit
Bought a riders cub in the end in a crate as it was less than half the price at the time

Both are great little scooters from brands that produce top quality products.

if either of them is fairly new and unlikely to need spares in the near future, chose either.

The problem with Sym isn't their bikes. The UK importer doesn't seem to grasp the concept of importing spares.

Kymco's importers were a bit better in this respect, until ....

If Kymco are taking over the UK distributorship themselves directly, as the article says, I'd head for Kymco.

Though Sym are offering a 5 year warranty now!

There's pretty much nothing in it to be honest!
