Re: going up
Well, I was going to buy it until I discovered the seller was unable to differentiate between "there" and "they're" and was a violent abuser of the apostrophe.
Put me right off - I bet he's a right bleedin' 'erbert.

Id rather buy a good bike off an illiterate, than a bad one of an eloquent writer of prose ....CeeGee wrote:Well, I was going to buy it until I discovered the seller was unable to differentiate between "there" and "they're" and was a violent abuser of the apostrophe.

Re: going up
Sorry but I'm right in Gee Gees tent on that one - I'm a shameless Grammar Nazi at times A man after my own heart
Apostrophe abuse is only a small step from reflexive pronoun mania, as seen in some of the very best pretentious hotels, "Will there be anything else for yourself at all this evening, Sir?" etc etc AAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGHHHHH!!
And whilst I'm on the subject, no you can't GET a pint of lager, the barman will GET it for you, that's his job you see.
Thanks, I feel better.
