Hi Simon,
they look a real bargain dont they and if they are offering them at 595 they may take 500?550 ?
If they were Honda c90's they would want 1000 more !
The only thing that would put me off is the 2 stroke bit but i am 2 old fashioned to realise modern 2 strokes are ok.
I wonder what year they registered em?
Have you got your c90 sorted yet?
all the best

Did'nt notice the 2 stroke bit  . They seem to have registered them in 2003, so I guess they may well be due an MOT? I wonder wwether there would br problems re SVA or some such?. Still Ive got a real one and happy with that.

Ive 'fixed' the indicators and headlight with some splcing of new wire and some insulating tape. I removed most of what can be removed and given it a clean up. I took off the rickman box, but in the process broke the securing bolt/screw thing, and it looks like Im gonna have to take the rear wheel off the get to the other side of it to remove/replace. Ideally want a clear day to cover the rest in Gunk and give it a good wash down. Im 50/50 as to whethter to really go for it and do an 'as new' amateur resto on it, or just clean it and use it. The third option is a full on sand blast, resto and colour change, but this is more a pipe dream as the time just isnt available for it, gotta keep spare time for riding!!.

I think if I got one I'd be forever wishing I'd spent a bit more and got the real thing!

I would start a resto at the end of the summer.......

Looks like an exact copy of the old Yamaha Mate V80. (before Townmate T80 fourstrokes)
There are exact copies of the Cub out there. The Jialing JD70 is a very good quality C70E clone with 4 speeds.
