newbie
Hello,
Was on here in August when I was planning to get a red 12v c90 for 450 but needed t and t and battery but luckily some thing else came and I bought don't laugh or swear a Yamaha T80 Townmate , very similar but shaft drive and 4 gears, £550 with 7500 miles when I bought her in August but now clocked up to 12,000 miles on the odometer and a lovely bike.
use her every day to get to college and back 16 miles and use £5 and a week and can be a hoot.

No laughing here! Good little bikes I'm led to believe. We got a 'Other Marques' section, and whatever you're riding you'll be welcomed at the meets!

38 left on the roads, alot rarer than then a cubby, not as quick with a top speed of 45 due to shaft drive but she gets there quick if you get through all 4 gears.

No. Absolutely, definitely, NOT!samcub90 wrote:38 left on the roads, alot rarer than then a cubby,
That 'howmanyleft' website has a LOT to answer for!
I need to do a piece on it so as to just link to it rather than have to respond each time this crap site comes up!
We've covered it here a few times, and the fact is, lots of bikes have V5's with no model on them, so they are listed in categories with differing names like 'Other' 'Unclassified' etc and there are thousands of vehicles in these categories with no way of knowing what they are.
Just out of interest, check your V5 and see if there's a model listed on that. I have around 10 V5's here, most just saying' Honda'

Agreed Newt. It wasn't usual to put the model on V5s until the very late 1980s, and then not always.
Looks a nice Townie that. I like the colour. Much rarer than the common blue I reckon!
And if you dress like that, you'll fit in well here!

Re: newbie
I think the cub will be quicker up hill with more torque but on the flat I think I could possibly win a drag race with 4 gears, if I keep at 35 I can get 140 miles out the tank, a TopGear style test would be good but Wales is abit far I know a good hill in Derbyshire a 5 miles hill that gradual getting steeper till you have to go down to first and wheely like I found out when going camping
