Had my C90 MG a week week now

Post by KBAR1400 » Tue May 10, 2011 12:50 pm

Bought myself a 1989 Honda C90 MG, 1 owner with 12,000 on the clock.Complete with Rickman fairing & topbox.
£250 it cost me & spent about another £60 on bits - new exhaust, oil, air filter, anti corrosion paint.
Took it out for an 86 Mile run , up the A6 to shap Summit on Sunday, and well impressed with it - 107 mpg too.

Could not be more different to My main ride , a SUZUKI GSX 1400 k3.

Hope to use the site for tips on Maintanace & Plan some travels on it.

So hello all :)

I bought the bike from a 77 year old guy near to where i live ( its a Local dealer bike & registration ).He no longer could ride it, so his daughter advertised it where i work ( Bae Systems). So doubt it he was ever in the club.
I thought the shocks were standard, but im new to all the specifications of each model.

Yes first trip is planned up the Cumbrian coast to Silloth, as its like stepping back in time with cobble main streets, so the C90 Should blend in Nicely.
Cheers :)

Finally got round to giving it a good clean & liberal dose of WD40.Insured it for £14 added to my Bennetts Suzuki GSX 1400 Policy & rolled it out for a 2 mile comute to work this morning .
