Hello from Northern Ireland

Post by Ginger Mark » Thu Jun 23, 2022 10:49 am

Hello everyone.

Great forum with plenty of brilliant info!

I finally got a bike yesterday. Picked up a 1980 C70 Passport in great nick. Been looking for years for the right bike and found it half a mile away from my house!!

All advice about it will be gladly welcomed.

Hi and welcome.
That's a great looking bike!! There's some quite different bits and bobs on it compared to the 70s I normally see. Indicators ( I remember them on Honda melodies), engine cases etc.
I realise it's badged up as a passport, do you know it's history?
Anyway very nice, and don't take any of that crap about slow blue ones!!!🀣🀣
Cheers Andy.

Thanks Andy.

I know it spent most of its days in California and was brought here to the UK a few years back.

As far as I know everything is original on it apart from the rear shocks. (I have them too buy the blue plastic is broken on 1 of them). All the passports I've seen have the same indicators etc so I'm happy its all as should be.

It will hardly go that fast with me on it as I'm a big lump!!

Cheers Mark

California ehh. That probably means very clean (corrosion free) frame then? Regarding the colour..... there's a bit of banter on here aledging that red ones are faster!! Ha Ha πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
Cheers Andy.
