Newbie
Hello
Thankyou for allowing me to join
At present I'm busy researching what will be my first Cub. I'd quite like a CT110, but they seem to fetch a premium?, however I think an MD90 might just fit my needs, just as well (tough with good luggage capacity)... Hopefully I can find more help here in making my decision.
My experiences with forums in the past is; I get lost a lot / can't find things easily and get confused as to which section I'm supposed to be in (as a rule, I do not use social media). So please bare with me, I might occasionally cry for help
And thankyou in advance for any help / advice offered... It WILL be much appreciated!

Hi Nezumi, welcome to the club. Have to looked at Seven Seas Motors in Dewsbury? They import the MD 90s & various other bikes & cars from Japan & whilst you may not get a bargain, they are a good firm to deal with.

Hello, and thankyou . Yes, I've been nosing at Seven Seas, def' not the cheapest! (by quite some margin) But I've read good reports of them, which counts for a lot, I've read they are very helpful after... if you bought your bike from them. I notice you have an MD... Did you get it from them? And how easy do you find it getting spares, please?
I'm thinking more about the MD, rather than CT110, tbh. (the more I nose into it, cost is a huge point against CTs for one thing) MDs seem to share many of the qualities, and I Very Much like their quirkier appearance . My only concern is their speed in modern traffic... I believe the CT might be more in keeping? However, that said, perhaps tweaking the sprocket sizes might help. I'm also wondering about fitting CT rims and tyres? (I think there might be room?)

Re: Newbie
The CT110 doesn't really set the world alight IMHO although the 4 speed is nice, my standard C90 is quicker.

Re: Newbie
I did get my MD90 from them & had it couriered to me unseen after they registered it. All went smoothly & I have been very happy with the bike. Spares have not been needed yet , but I`m sure many parts are the same as Cub parts. I did put a new front sprocket on +1 tooth & that was sourced on eb*y easily.Nezumi wrote: βSun Feb 20, 2022 8:43 pmYes, I've been nosing at Seven Seas, def' not the cheapest! Ok, marvellous, thankyou. They're not tooo far from me (about 1 1/2hr drive). I think I should pay them a visitHarps18TV wrote: βSun Feb 20, 2022 10:34 pmI did get my MD90 from them & had it couriered to me unseen after they registered it.
