Hi All
New to the club but defiantly not to small bikes.
I've recently had the fortune to stumble upon this 1985 C70 on eBay. I must of been very lucky to fall on it within minutes of it being listed cos to be honest it was a buy it now steal (you would struggle to find a frame and V5 for what I paid for it). Its currently in bits but allegedly all there I've had a look through and it does seem to be. V5 present, all numbers check out and its now in my name. Even got a load of old MOT certs. There are a few rough bits but it generally looks like a decent project for me.
Picked it up the same morning from a really nice block who had bought it as a complete bike for his young lad to restore. As in the photo. But once they had stripped it down they decided it was a little too much for a first resto project.
Joins my stable of a 1966 motoguzzi dingo 50cc (finished and on the road), 1977 Honda CG125 (main bike on the road ongoing resto) and 1986 Tomos A3M (unrestored),1973 Garelli Concorde + donor bike (currently under restoration), 1975 Suzuki GT50 (in bits) and Talbot Sunbeam Lotus (for sale as I need more room!)
I'm hoping to find enough spare time to get it cub on the road by next summer. I'm certainly quite excited about this one and its moved the Tomos, Garelli and Suzuki to the back of the queue.
