Hello all. After months of viewing topics on this forum,i thought i'd bite the bullet and sign up.Back in the late '80's,i purchased a Kermit Green C90 and used it regularly for work commutes. It was made in '76 and cost Me about £120 from a local seller. It was immaculate,as it had only done about 1,000 miles in 10+ years.I got My full bike licence on it.Then bought a CX500,rebuilt the engine on this, but after a few months, decided it was just to ungainly for Me-Sold it to a Friend, who went up to the North of Scotland on it for His honeymoon (We live in the S.E).Went back to the C90,but after a couple of years, regretfully sold this on for about £250 (It was still excellent).Anyway, without boring you all, decided last year to get a little run  about for local drop-offs.Looked at the new Super Cub 110,but decided it was too big and i didn't like the keyless ignition.Anyway,lo and behold,a Super Cub 110 Pro turned up.It had been imported through Seven Seas importers by a private individual as a brand new bike. After a year or so,He traded it in and i am the lucky next owner. It has done just over 1,000 miles and is dated 2016 (However, that's another story!).However,i'm not going to use it until this summer, due to whats happening at the moment any other commitments.Until then,i'm just adding a few accessories for touring.Anyway, that's my introduction-I hope i didn't comatise anyone...Rob.

Obviously not too sunny today.Notice you've got a virago on your list.Got a friend up in S.London who ran a couple,a few years back. Both of His,had a very unhealthy appetite for starter motors.Even then (20+ years ago),they set him back over £200 a time.He customized one as a Harley and even had special badges made for the tank....'HARDLY A DAVIDSON'.Use to fool a few so-called experts.Sadly it was stolen.

Sounds my type of place! When is that normally held?Is it still very expensive to take a bike/car over to the Island? At one time, residents of the Island, used to get their crossing fares for about 1/2 price....Maybe not so generous now with the discount i bet

We usually have the meeting in August and I try to get a discount from Red Funnel. I Will have to wait to see what happens this year , the good thing about the campsite is there is no need to prebook ...normally .
