Hi guys..
Just joined the club.. am hoping to find a cheap bike in the new year with the intention of customising it.. would really like to strip it back, make it a clean, simple build.
I’m sure I’ll have lots of questions in the future, but for now just saying hi.
Hi

Welcome Lee.
Just an idea, put your rough location in your profile. Always handy for people to know if they can help you out or if you're interested in a ride out.
Best of luck in finding a bike, although you will probably get some grumbles if you chop a good one

Re: New member..
Hi guys..
Location wise I’m in East Sussex.
I’m not looking to chop or custom anything that should really be restored. I’d only really want to work on something which would otherwise only be used for parts or scrapped. Be good to find something with a decent frame though, not too much rust.
They seem to be going for silly money at the moment, almost as much as a new cub.. is this a recent thing?, or have they always been expensive used?

When this forum started I was picking them up for £60. There is so much interest now you're lucky to get one for £600.

On eBay there’s none for less than £1000 and some are over £3000!
