Hi Everyone, I'm Dean and I spend most of my time in Malaysia. I first rode a Honda C90 in 1981 whilst working in Palembang, Indonesia. And finally over the Christmas holiday i treated myself to a new EX5, these are a C110 model from the early 2000's that are still made here in Malaysia.

Would deaninkl mean Dean in Kuala Lumpur by any chance?
My daughter lived there for around four years. We really enjoyed it when Mrs. Knapdog and I went to visit.
Did all the sights but particularly remember the food in Jalan Alor. Great atmosphere. The whole street was buzzing.
I can still see this guy eating Durian with latex gloves on! :D

Hello Knapdog, indeed Dean in KL is correct. I've been in KL since 1996, kids went to school here and pretty much consider KL home. Great place for C90's and the various derivatives. My new EX5 cost only about 950 pound, although the new C125 is only marginally cheaper than the UK as its made in Japan. We even have Cub GP series here that is televised and very popular with the youngsters and a feeder to mainstream racing.

Wear latex gloved while eating durian is a wise move, and I always think about it after that fact... and have a durian smelling hand for days afterwards..

125erCrazy, ill put some pics together on my next trip home to KL, Cubs are huge here in Malaysia, but they don't have a air of nostalgia about them, accept for old farts like me and a sprinkling of old guys that had them passed down from grandfathers. Old ones are relatively cheap here, and one day I plan to buy and original 50cc model from the 60's... there are a few about. C90's are actually rare here. they tend to be C70's the 110's... Malaysia seems to have missed the 90 incarnation. I'm not sure why that is. In Indonesia where I lived from 1981 till 1990 it was all C90's. Now Indonesia has a huge market for the old stuff, and they are very good at keeping those things going.

Here in Malaysia the have the EX5 which is a locally made 110cc version, i think from the late 90's or 00's. Drum brakes but with electric start, square headlight.

Look forward to that :D

I get parts for my Suzuki FL address bought back from Thailand (sold there as Shogun) as they are sensible money.

Unfortunately the Suzuki NM 110 address despite being marketed worldwide show no accessories listed apart from heated grips, top box decals, screen.
