Greetings to all... PEUGEOT VOX 110...FIRST BIKE
Nice to meet you all virtually. As you guessed first time posting on this site. I must say I am new to the two wheeled motor transport and from my little experience love it.
Anyway I currently have a Peugeot vox 110cc and I am in the process of taking my cbt, a second time I have never had experience with a bike before. I am not worried as it is just practice I need more.
What I am concerned about is the bike I have. As it does not have a manual I can find online to download or purchase. I would want this as I would like to learn how to maintain the bike for a very long time.
Also with the gear shift as it is a semi automatic. When shifting down a gear I assume to have less engine break is all related to how much you slow down before dropping down a gear.
If anyone would be so kind to help me. Would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards Helios88

If the semi automatic gear box is like the Honda, when you first move the gear lever into another gear it the clutch is in and you are frewheeling. If you then gently release pressure on the gear lever, it will engage the new gear. Exactly like the clutch on a car, you have to practice to get the right feel. I still let it out too fast in first.

Thank you that makes sense. I took it out for a spin and I have been coming to the same conclusion

There's a few Vox/ex-Vox owners here, there will be a bit of information around, it should be a decent little first bike if you keep on top of the oil changes

OK thanks for that, the previous owner told me he changed it every week. Is that necessary

Every 1000 miles should be fine.

Greetings from a fellow vox owner based in Devon. The vox is a good bike and I've had mine for 4 years since I bought it new. Should give you miles of smiles!!
