Hi, i love em!
Hello everyone!
I think its been about a year and a half since i bought my first c90 and to be honest i`ve had the most fun i can with my clothes on. It was my brother who suggested that for the lads holiday last year, we should buy c90s and do a weeks tour of southern Ireland. I bought mine off ebay, a stout little 88 cub in red, complete with a rickman screen and topbox. Now being used to superbikes, it was a bit of a suprise when i first rode the beast. Cornering took a new kind of skill, the undamped suspension was a revelation, you can shove yer Ohlins tunned forks up yer arse!
So 7 of use set off for the tour and to be honest, i havent had a funnier holiday, 800 miles in a week on a cub and not one break down (apart from one of the swing arm pivot bolts coming loose and hanging out!). I`ve already totally stripped and rebuilt mine, gritblasted the frame, repainted in the original colour, added a tuned lifan 150cc motor with a high level exhaust, modified the front and rear suspension adding fully adjustable dampers to the original leading link forks , new wheels and brakes etc. It was even featured in a recent issue of Performance Bike magazine, which was funny
Anyway thats my story so far, we have just retured from the Isle Of Man for the TT, fancy dress was the order of the day, i went as a giant hotdog,my mates went as Superman, the other as Captain America. Going over the mountain mile flat out on Mad Sunday was a blast, passing big bikes doing 80mph was a hoot.
Again this year we have the boys holiday coming up at the end of July. Seven of us are off to the sunny coastline of dorset and Devon, so for that trip i`ve just gone and purchased another c90 which will stay standard. So for now cheers and keep rollin!!!

My bike before i totally stripped and rebuilt it. Fitted the 150cc motor before the rebuild to iron out the little probs you get from such a conversion. More soon....

Cracking bike The conversion looks like it could have been tricky! Did it take long?
