Trip to Reading

Post by Newtsalad » Mon May 25, 2009 9:40 pm

I had a ride down to Reading over the weekend, Didn't take the 90 I took the Yam instead. Furthest I've ventured in the 2 years since I been back on bikes. I keep getting horribly lost as I can't remember routes, (Diving injury not a Driving injury) so I wired in the satnav with an earpiece. Any way, it was useless not being able to see it, and though I tried to skirt the M25, as Mrs Newtsalad had been sat in her 'Tubby' stationary at a 'fatal' for an hour and a half, I still ended up on the A406 North CIrcular road, much to my horror. Anyway, though nervous at first, I breezed it. So much so, Sunday I decided to head home right through the City, Piccadilly and all. It was quite an experience, Pizza bikes whizzing everywhere! Quite a few C90's too. Huge boxes on the back, weaving in and out of the traffic like bees making honey! Ponderously, I waited in line as a c90 with a huge box and a flat back tyre whizzed past without a care in the world! The Honda C's really are the Jack Russels of the motorcycling world, even unloved and neglected, simply treated as tools, they seem as happy as Larry, happier to be being ridden into the ground than sat rotting in a garage! In the City, I really missed the C90. It's the right tool for the job. So light, and maneuverable and easy to ride, it frees the mind to focus on survival! The Yam's great for the open road, but in London, C90 wins every time!

The C90 always wins hands down in traffic situations! Me and Mav watched in awe as one ripped around town in Ipswich the other day, wishing i didn't have the car, but that we were on our 90's!
