Rhayader off road

Took myself off to Rhayader on the 90 to ride a couple of byways. First one was out of Rhayader and itβs probably one of my favourite of all time. Beautifully remote, rocky in parts, red kites flying overhead and some little water crossings. Just perfect!
Then headed down to Monks Trod but the river was really deep and I didnβt fancy drowning the bike on my own with no phone signal, so rode down and round Claerwen reservoir.
Cold but beautifully clear!

Is the first route out of Rhayader known locally as the golf course?
I'm also informed the Monks Trod currently has a TRO (Traffic Regulation Order ) against it can you update me please if thats not the case
