I can think of worse things than being beaten by an ex TT racer. ;) :D

And I would have another go. But I'd want a couple of £K in sponsorship for good causes. And a van lift to JoG, and back from Land's End. Remember it took Nut and I a week in all. And we were loaded with camping gear. I don't have that kind of commitment almost 12 years on. ;) :)

1075 miles in 23hrs 35 minutes. Smallest bike on the Iron Butt register for the Saddlesore 1000, and verified. ;)   (On that occasion I did raise over £500 for East Anglian Air Ambulance :D )

Off you go lads! :D

We did consider going further but tbh we set out to do the journey as fast as we could and that we did ,hats of to u still and your write up was fascinating and made us realise its poss .funny thing is 4 years ago we did the journey in 2 days only after my pal said some guy did it in less than 24 hours .I was shocked to say the least but tbh once we set off u just zone out and enjoy the little funny moments on these bikes.

Good to see some 'young blood' creating interest in our little bikes, one of the reasons this forum exists!

Keep it up so I can happily retire!

I’ll be doing a JoGLE next year in June on my 125 Super Cub, no sponsorship required and no records to be set. I aim to take about 6 days about it and spend a lot of time enjoying the scenery and avoiding major roads. Hats off to those who set the record, a real challenge well met. :D

I understand this time was set with a support crew?

For fairness and anyone else following, we really need to know exactly how this support crew contributed, to ensure a level playing field, as I'm led to believe others are interested in following.

For instance, getting stuck behind a caravan doing 49 mph. You can do 55, but not enough zip to get past it. Support crew overtakes, slows caravan to 45, overtakes are then possible and bikes continue on their merry way. That to me is an unfair advantage.

So did you 100% cut your own air without the help of a support vehicle, or was this like Guy Martin's attempt to reach 100mph on a push bike?

Because as someone who knows, those average speeds are astonishing.

The only time I've managed 53 miles in an hour on my 90 with certainty, was on a German autobahn.
