Dear all,
Anyone got any personal recommendations for a basic stayover nr St Malo France the night before a ferry ?
Must have secure parking.

Kevin

Re: Recommendations ? St Malo France
Not got a personal recommendation for St Malo per say but as a seaside town/port they are usually run down with transient scum in tow.
My advice would be to lodge further out of town but if you wish to be close then Kyriad have done us proud in the past allowing bikes to be chained right next to the front entrance.
Horizons Unlimited is a good travellers source for such info.
Usually an email in English with the awful Google translate version above will raise a giggle and could source you secure parking otherwise search air BnB

Bit of google and street view ,then phone the hotel of choice and get it cheaper than the booking companies some of which are all owned by the same company .Time of ferry is important as you do not want to rush in the morning .Brittany Ferries do a good breakfast

Out of season some rural gites will open up but you need some French!
‘gites near st malo france‘ but pick a local village name.
I’d not recommend StMalo sea food or parking overnight!
