Looks fantastic. How many times did you drop the bike in the petrol station?

Excellent trip Sir. In the 1980's I made the same journey from Santander down to Seville. I came back via the Portuguese coastline which was superb. I did it on a "Dakar" XT 500. One chain replacement and two rear tyres were required on my trip. Segovia was my favourite stop. It was boiling and I over indulged in the local beer.

Nice trip, glad you enjoyed Spain as much as me. I did a number of trips to Southern Spain on a VMax, once Santander to Malaga in a day. Too hot mid summer for me, best April May or September October. I used to leave a bike over there, summer riding was limited to early morning, usually done by 11am, winter was best nothing on roads at all Xmas day! I agree that the Paradors are excellent as are most of the hotels in Spain, look for the ones the truckers use, they know the best restaurants. As you say traffic is much lighter away from big cities and the condition of the roads is much better than the UK. If you are into MotoGP you must go to Jerez, 120,000 fans is not unusual, the atmosphere is amazing. Dogsbody

Thank you, sheriff.
Anybody can do it provided you've got the time, a bit of cash put aside for the trip and an understanding missus.
You could do the trip on a cub with more time. The cub would be up for it, that's for sure. It's only like doing Jogle three times on the trot.
I chose the bigger bike for more comfort and getting to places a bit quicker.
I've sent a few pics to "RIDE" just to see if they'll put one up in next month's magazine.
