First decent run of the year.

Friday morning I set off just before 6 am, and made for Clatterin Brig, via Aylth and Lintrathen. From there, up and over the Cairn 'O' Mount to Fingzean, and on to Glenshee. Next Pitlochry, then home via Amulree and Glenalmond. Just over 200 miles. One fuel top up at Fingzean. I was a bit sore in the knee joints as I am not yet fully accustomed to the riding position of the C125, but it was a most enjoyable day. I got home just around 4pm. I've done a lot of long distance stuff in the past, XT Yamahas being my favoured tool, although latterly the humble (and slow) 350 Enfield Bulllet has been possibly the most comfortable ride I've owned. Although reliable, the Enfield was Labour intensive to keep it that way. The new Cub is all about "easy". I took a fuel can, and the necessary to fix a puncture. Can't wait for summer. Once I've figured out how to post pics, I'll get some done. Happy thrashing. :D

Damn that's hard core ever since I stopped commuting my getting up at 4am days to be in at 6am are long gone (not to say that I don't still wake up that time of the morning still)

But I think the second sentence sums up modern touring.

And it's been many years since I panicked at Pitlochry trying to find fuel for the 4x4 following a redundant garage the twat nav swore existed.

Well.done on getting out glad to here your bonding with the new cub

Doing that ride was probably the best value for money riding possible, I know it is for me when using the Innova, so many miles for a £3.50 tankful.
Happy Days.

It definitely is, and the most enjoyable. I keep off the busy roads, so it's stress free as well. Surprising how many miles you can cover in a day at 45mph.

Had another excellent journey today. Went up Strathmore by backroads, and made for Glen Prosen, then zig zaged my way home by the Sidlaw hills. £4 on fuel, sunshine all day, and a smile from ear to ear. Spent more on coffee and cakes than I did on fuel. Saw a load of other bikes out today, but they don't wave at me now I'm on a Cub.

But as sure as eggs they'd be gathering around the cub outside a pub/cafe.
