Thanks for the message! Sounds great and also very reassuring to hear that you completed that distance.

What would be the recommended speed and duration between stops on a trip like this ?

That depends on how long you want the whole journey to take. The OP is doing it as a four day (was it four?) challenge so they have to push it a bit.
The only thing that complains is your bottom so a relatively painless journey would see you have a break every couple of hours or even an hour and a half.
At an average of 30 to 35mph that sees you covering between 55 and 70 miles very couple of hours.
Stop for 20/30 mins for coffee break and put in another hour and a half and it's lunchtime and you've done around 100 miles (or even 80, or even 60, at a leisurely pace).
Spend a good hour enjoying a nice pub lunch and put in your final couple of hours leaving a daily total of around 130 miles. You've got to your destination and can relax and enjoy what the town has to offer.
For me, that's the way to do it.
Country lanes and smell the foxes!
Enjoy the scenery and stay between the hedges!

Had a nice 'Training' run out yesterday and managed 100 miles in 4 hours with 2 x cafe brew stops! pretty chuffed!
Bikes performed well, weather was good, 95 miles (ish) on a tank, smiles all round!!
The looks, the stares, the comments...... :lol: :lol: :lol:
It is impossible not to smile when riding one of these!!!

I'm sure you'll agree the bikes fit right in on the below photos!! :shock:
Is 300 a day ambitious..... probably... but we confirmed yesterday - we like a challenge (we think :lol: )

All these people that think it a major challenge to do "Le-Jog" on a Cub! if you want a REAL challenge try it on a Hardly dangerous! At least with a Cub you know the bike can do it!...... :lol: :lol: :lol:

An extra Honda generator tank with 6 litres will give you 140 miles before switching to the main tank which can be used as a reserve ,I have done the Isle of Wight to Betws y Coed with just one stop for fuel ,250 miles in February.

I’ve got the extra tank on mine , total piece of mind on the longer runs .

I did a leisurely LEJOG via Ireland over a week, although I did the 600 mile return from JOG to Milton Keynes in 25 hours which was hard.

Definitely carry extra fuel, I needed mine a lot especially coming back through Scotland on a Sunday. 1.5 litre was just about enough. A screen will reduce fatigue, you can get a cheap universal screen for not a lot. Carry a brew kit, really lifts the spirits when you can stop for a brew roadside. Try and minimise what’s on your seat, I managed with just a Lomo 30 litre roll bag. Your bike was beautifully packed. And your fuel situation definitely better than that of my Kymco, munching through the cans of petrol :x

Take your time, each day's journey is the important thing, not racing to get to your destination.
The only thing we needed to do to the bikes was retension the chains slightly half way down. We took the minimum amount of tools and the only spares we took were a couple of inner tubes.
Each night, in the car parks we tried to park outside our room window, if we could, and always ran a chain in a loop through the four bikes.
The scenery and people we met were amazing. I'd do it all again. We eventually raised £3500. One old guy in Fort Augustus even gave us his pocket watch to auction off "for the bairns"!
The four bikes had a lot of attention along the way and started many a conversation going.

320 miles ridden Saturday and all good ..... well until one of the lads engines seized 😱😱😱😱
5 weeks to go so plenty of time 😬😬🤣🤣🙈🙈
