What a wonderful read & time spent nursing a whiskey laden Lemsip (death by manflu) on a frosty Friday night.

Thankyou for taking the time

I'm pleased you enjoyed my little story. I actually did it to record what was in my head while I could still remember it. I didn't know what to do with it and the so very helpful admin team offered to take on the seemingly impossible task of putting it on the club site. I can't express my level of gratitude to them.
I hope there's something in it for everyone.but don't expect people to find it all of interest to them but I hope a bit of it will entertain, amuse or help with flu.
At least if you're in the area please try one of the cafes. I went to Castleton the other day and there seems to be controversy about the "free" parking. Then I went to Ladybower cafe and it had been towed away for the winter!
So thanks again to Wightegi and Capitano - I owe them at least a beer and a decent coffee respectively.
Phil

If you can fill it out a bit more offer it to Amazon to publish on kindle (you get a percentage of every 99p (or 25p) sale and dont under estimate the people interest, there are some very 'thin' novels on there

Enjoyable reading, thanks!

The Coast to Coast run is something I would like to do one day. I have friends in Bawtry who I visit quite often, they lived in Carlton Minniott (just outside Thirsk) until recently. I have watched a few runs over the years, usually whilst trimming their trees and hedges. :D

Bawtry in South Yorkshire?

That's dangerously (literally dangerously) close to one of my ex girlfriends, the really psycho one!

There used to be a place there that sold ex M.O.D vehicles. It was always an interesting place to look around. Our band van was an ex Army Sherpa. Some enterprising squaddie mechanic had fitted a larger bore CU carb on it, probably from a tank! 8-)
