Vision 110 - Over the Pennines

Just got up, made a coffee and opening the garage door to peruse my new bike. A shiny red Honda vision 110cc 2015, 4000 miles on clock with a top box you could fit the mother in law in.
Yesterday I had an interesting afternoon as I dropped off my very large but cramped (for me at 6ft) Yamaha majesty 250 at its new owners. I referred to it as the ford Sierra!.
This was a journey up the A1 to a remote place with no Asda or Tesco nearby or even a pub.
I dropped it off, counted the cash an hastily made my retreat anticipating the next mission over the Pennines on the M62 with my best mate in his Skoda to view and hopefully buy my new toy.
The weather was good, but the time was not and darkness approached as we neared the looming ominous city of Mancester.
After mishaps from my sat nav...which I'm sure has brain rot...we eventually arrived and there it was. Shiny red, better than that, Honda C90 cub red!
The owner, a very polite young lad, let me take it up and down the street and I noticed straight away that it was comfy and peppy off the throttle. Couple of little scratches but not enough to put me off... Deal!
The ride back on a new bike is always awful for me, anxiety is high..however very soon as I pulled out of Manchester and saw the familiar path to Barnsley over the Woodhead pass I began to smile at the little 110cc Honda pulling my hefty frame at a happy 40-45 mph up some of the steepest climbs. It handled very well. The rear mono shock performed outstandingly and the front brake was sharper than Jimmy Carr. Reaching the top of the Pennines the engine picked up and (when safe to do so) would reach 55+ mph. Brilliant lights too. I would have to say overall I would rate this as one of the best bikes I have ridden....and if a journey is going to put you off the trans pennine one at 9pm in March is going to do it.
I reckon (and I've heard it said before) the Honda vision 110 is a future classic, even if it is a twist and go, it's quirky, has charm and appeal and let's face it little Hondas are the best thing since sliced bread...
Simplicity and practicality, designed so well.
Well done Mr Honda... You've done it again!
(Sadly there were no wuyangs around so I'll have to put up with it )
