Nope, not a chance......

Best of luck though.

The last time we headed down that way I was on a carb Innova with 10 litres in the top box with a pump to the silly small 3 litre main tank, I averaged 114 mpg so the total range was 326 miles. So even if you carried 20 litres you wouldn't have enough range. Twin pannier 20 litres and you may stand a chance but that means leaving the luggage behind.

You'd be surprised how many people don't take into consideration the amount of petrol they'll need to cover the distance across the Channel when on the boat !

I have to say I will be setting off with some trepidation to say the least :| . Oh b****cks to to it. It'll be an adventure.........I think. Just waiting for JJ to turn up, then it's off down to BCP's for the night and probably some ridiculously hot curry.

36 litres would get me there ,about 70 miles per 3 l.. but it will weigh 80lbs. :(
Good luck and get fuel at every opportunity .
