How is Bordon these days? I haven't been there since 1970 when I attended my first class trade course at SEME. Now that's all moved to Lyneham I imagine it's rather quiet there.

the camp is going. It's going to have a shopping centre built on it as well as houses and new schools.
Part of the railway is going to become a new road.
Come 2020 it will look totally different. I will post up some pics soon.
I'm going to miss the old bordon. I moved to the area around 1970 and moved
To swansea around 1988

home safe and sound. i was slightly quicker coming home by around 15 minutes and there was a very strong head on south west
wind coming over the heads of the valley.
Heinz has performed fantastic during the last 7 days.
i have also found that when the fuel guage needle touches the red that there is still a litre
in the tank as i can just about squeeze 3 litres in the tank.
it took around 9 litres to cover the 195 mile trip covering around 65 miles until the needle
hit the red on the gauge

You're a trooper kev.
You've averaged just under 100 mpg. Just thought you might have had just a tad more, even though you're fully laden.
Still you can be proud venturing in this foul weather as well.
