Oh and lets not forget a rather heavy load.krazy kev wrote:its worth it though especially when faced with strong head winds and steep hillsallspeed wrote:The extra thirst of the 110.
the rucksack weighs about 20kgs maybe more
I put in on the spine rack as it was not sitting on my back properly and made the bike top heavy

Fair play, that's a tidy load, what with those goal posts as well.

Re: Heinz's first long rideout
Got another long (ish) rideout in just over 3 weeks time.
before then i plan to fit my second fuel tank.
Its a 140 mile round trip to raise money for charity.
A few local C90 riders will be doing the trip as well

Re: Heinz's first long rideout UPDATED
Well Heinz will be doing long ride-out number 2 on Sunday.
Its not a fun ride-out but a mercy mission to attend my Mothers
funeral in Hampshire.
Again I will be going over the Heads of the Valleys which is a total
of 195 miles. This time though I have my long range touring tank
fitted which will give me a range of at least 200 miles.
Before I go I need to service the bike and check the float level in the carb
as the bike is dying for no reason at all.
Apart from this little niggle the bike is running great using minimal amount of oil.
I have not needed to add any oil in nearly 500 miles and the oil is still clean.
I also need to fit my touring rack setup so I can carry a decent load.
Lets hope the weather holds out for the journeys
COME ON HEINZ. YOU CAN DO IT

Re: Heinz's first long rideout
Ive found 50 miles to be my limit before i have to get off the thing so needing to stop isnt an issue,as a test i rode 125 miles home on a brimmed tank and still had 2 litres left when i got home, stopped twice thinking i better top up just in case and looked inside and saw that it wasnt needed! (i do have a 6v 90 though,5.5l tank )

I want to minimize the stops to one stop for the toilet and a cuppa.
