Hi when are you going.
Four of us have booked to do St Malo down to the Pyrenees at the end of June.
We figured it'll be best to save the best roads etc till last.

Hi yes we are doing it all backwards but the general vote is to spend most of our time away in the pyranese and travle back up on the last few days,
We are booked to sail on the 14 th of July and can't wait

Sounds great
We had better make it down that far.
Have you ever done anything like this before?

On other bikes yes but not this route, on a 79 6v cub no! How about yourself? Have you got your route planned yet?
We have done various uk trips on the cubs but nothing this adventurous, main thing is we found be realistic in you speeds, if u sit there watching the speedo it can be frustrating , I now bungee my tent across the bars to keep a bit of weight on the front as the others in our group do , it covered the clocks but you just travel at a speed that feels right for the engine irrelevant to your actual traveling speed if that makes sense, we have done some big distances in a day just got to put the hrs in on the saddle.

30mph average as a group. We ran to Cannes a couple of years back as a group of 10. Great trip, and without serious incident. It's to be encouraged!

This is going to be all new to us, I ride trials most weekends and the furthest I taken the cub in one hit is about 100 miles.
Going to try and see the northwest 200 road race in Ireland as practice run i think.
We are still discussing routes, so much to see!

Re: 2015 Santander France and back home
Just completed our trip which I'd reccomend to anyone,
It was around 1500 miles and wish we had longer to explore the places we visited, we rode every day some days it hit 42deg! Milage was around 130 least 240 max and rough camped where possable finding some nice spots for a bit of fishing!
We had 9 days of riding the Spanish pyranese Andorra midi pyranese Perpignan millau which was beautifull then headed home in a north west style zigzag to cherboug port north of France . we did it all with little major roads as possible use ing the small D roads linking villages where the locals stated in disbelief at 5 Brit cubs trundling through.
We met loads of people, every where we stoped someone came over for a look ( which doesn't happen if you stop on a bmw gs lol) then telling them where we had been and where we were going next thought we were crazy! Good fun all round with only one elec problem and a puncture out of all 5 bikes
Where to go next?
Maybe Norway Sweden who knows? but one thing is for sure the little cub is comming too
Il try post a link to some pics if anyone wants
Cheers Ant
