Re: The North Cape
There is still a ferry directly to Norway from Blighty, I've recently found out via a couple of fellow Cub folk. It just isn't obviously there! I'm well up for this one, but want to leave it until next year really.

Re: The North Cape
Thanks for the comments everyone, If anyone wants info about this trip or anywhere else for that matter, please ask. As for me, I have stories about other trips I made, Russia, Taiwan, Korea, Yorkshire dales but none of these trips were made on a Honda 90 so would be out of place on this web site.
Right now I am circumnavigating Japan on a 90 and will update that thread periodically, (at the moment the weather is lousy, cold, heavy rain) so I'm doing a few jobs at home.
In 2012 there is a sidecar event in England. Watsonian sidecars will be 100 years in 2012. I want to attend with the Japanese importer of Watsonian but I'm torn between my choice of wheels. HONDA 90 I hear everybody shout. Should anyone want to join me on that venture please contact me for details.

Re: The North Cape
Well, we were very pleased to receive Prof's write up of his adventures on a Triumph in the Yukon!
It's a good piece, and it's received 273 views!
Lot's of us own other bikes, and I think any inspirational story that fires people up to get out and ride, whatever they choose to ride, would be welcomed.
What do other people think? Perhaps a poll?

Re: The North Cape
Although the dales are unique in Europe I have no specific trip as such. Living near Barnoldswick for the last 20 years made trips into the Dales a normal but never boring weekend run out. Many memories but very few pictures. The trip to the North Cape was a 3 1/2 week trip. My last trip to Europe covers almost 5 months with over 7000 photo's but now greatly reduced to maybe 1000. That's the beauty of a digital camera. Click away and then select useable photos.

I hear that Popeye- I snap away like a madman, then weed out the good from the bad later- take enough and there's bound to be a few good ones.Popeye wrote: That's the beauty of a digital camera. Click away and then select useable photos.
Sometimes when I have the time and the inclination I'll sit and fanny around with various compositions - that's truly the beauty of digital!
