the best place for the filter tube would be ww.cmsnl.com for a new one, or you may get a second hand one from the breakers yard or evilbay.
as for the legshield get it from wemoto they have the best ones for the 6v bikes, their not like the cheap white ones which dont fit correctly, they are nice mand thick and they are the origonal creamy colour, but the only thing is they dont say honda on them, i have bout quite a few of the cheap white legshield and they are shoocking! the ones from wemoto are the dogs danglies. and i think their around £30, you wont get any cheaper than this for a new one.

Re: WTB 1977 c90 legshields and carb to air filter tube
Is it possible to fit the earlier leg shields and cut a hole in them for the ignition key?
I have the shields from this
it has the ignition in a different location.
i coud just try it but the bikes in suffolk and im in london at the moment. just whondered if somebody has tried this.
ill have a look. i have to mot it and i'm wondering weather having no plastic shields will sway the mot'er to fail the heap

Re: WTB 1977 c90 legshields and carb to air filter tube
my ignition is on the left hand side of the legshiled , it bolts to the top left of the centre tube. the legshield for this bike wemoto sell are the good ones , but the hole for the ignition will need ctting out, i dont think i does need the legshield fot the mot, look @ all the sreetfighters with no panels ! and these go through the mot. so i would say no it doesnt neeed one, and it dont need a chain gaurd either!horror wrote:Is it possible to fit the earlier leg shields and cut a hole in them for the ignition key?

Yea I suppose, I thought they may kick off about it. I also heard that if i tape off the indicators I won't need those to function either.
You have to cut the key hole out of the new shields you buy?
How do you position the hole in the correct place? I suppose I could just use the old shields from the brown one and cut the hole.

cut it with a plastic hole cutter at the right size. place your legshield on without the hole and mark with a pencil from the inside and you should get it right, make the hole 1-3mm bigger so have room to playhorror wrote:Yea I suppose, I thought they may kick off about it. or of you dont want to cut a small hole in the legshield, you could always put the ingnition in the left hand side panal, all you will need to do it cut a hole in the sidepanel for the ignition or buy a side panel which already had the hole in it,

Don't move your ignition switch! The front mounted switch on your C90ZZ is a different physical shape to the sidepanel type on your C90, and the wiring is different too so it's not as easy as just extending the wires and moving the switch!!
Cutting a hole in the C90 legshields to fi the C90ZZ is a million (AT LEAST!) times easier!! A hole cutter or a hot knife will cut through easily.

would it still not fit in the side pannel thou? dosnt really need to bolt onto frame the one on my c70zz would most certainly fit within the in the side panel but wouldnt nolt to frame due to shape. ,Boo wrote:I'd advise not moving your ignition switch!
