Late type seat
Late type seat
...For my 1989 C90E... I have a Passport seat on but I want a proper full length saddle....Anything considered as we can't ride two -up easily with the existing saddle...It's too short..

Re: Late type seat
i got a couple of spare seats with the last bike i bought they are both late square lamp C90 seats, full length, but would need recovered, one has a new pattern cover semi fitted, but its like the guy gave up and couldn't do it, and its a pretty rubbish cover i have to say. the other has the correct cover but it has a split in it so would need recovered. dunno if either would be any use? i may trade you for the short version as i was gonna get one of them remodelled into a 3/4 size solo seat so i could fit a larger rack on back.
Re: Late type seat
OK...well my existing seat is from a Passport. It's not great, the pan is pretty much OK but the cover is split on either side about where your thighs go. A trade would be cool...Would you like some pics..?

Re: Late type seat
i would need to find out if it will fit onto a square lamp C90 without modification, and if a new cover was available off the peg, since custom covers cost a mint! as the passport is the old style c90 seat that hinged at rear like the C90ZZ if I'm noit mistaken and that won't work on a late C90

hmmm wonder how he got that to fit as the american passport is a older style bike, you sure its off a passport? does it work fine with the front hinge and pull clasp on rear of the later bike?

Her work is very good and very reasonable. She will pretty much make up any seat cover you want

Re: Late type seat
yeah i was gonna get her to do me a cover as i remember the guys on the forum rate her work, and i do fancy a solo seat, well more a solo and a bit... so i got room for camping kit on a longer rack, getting a rack made up up my way is easy enough, plenty small engineering places and relatives in the trades. but if this seat guild bass has is already a 3/4 and will fit, it would save a lot of modding and welding.
Re: Late type seat
I checked on the US Ebay and there are several Passport seat covers for around £15 plus £6 postage. I've enclosed the pics of the seat as it arrived on the Cub

Re: Late type seat
have to say that seat don't look happy on that bike back end is a bit kicked up its about the right length i was looking for, but not fitting right down on the bracket as the normal seat does, has that seat got the catch on the left side that engages the seat with bracket, it don't look like it has, won't be any use unless i can fit the catch.
