Good parts to fix my nicked cub
ok guys big ask, well as said in a earlier post my beloved cub was nicked, and I've a funny feeling they will cat C write it off. but i love the old girl and don't wanna see her go to cub heaven at some breakers. she will need new front forks, new speedo, new fork cover plastic, ignition barrel, wiring loom (they prob butchered it trying to get her going, will need to check properly after its been fingerprinted etc) and a front mudguard and foot peg bar with rubbers. i aint working at moment so can ill afford to be without wheels and can't pay silly amounts for parts. i just want her patched up and running again, till i can afford to do her justice.
If you have any of the parts that are in good nick for a Red C90-P kick start cub gimme a shout, want to get her going again ASAP. drop me a pm with what you got and how much you want.
Parts needed.
front mudguard undamaged
front forks
speedo assembly with ignition barrel and key
fork cover
footpeg bar unbent

Re: Good parts to fix my nicked cub
Cheers tony, but i have been offered all i need from another forum member... what i am after now is a frame... complete, unwritten, no frilly edges to rear section. this has to be sound as it will be forming the basis of a complete restoration of my bike. i need frame from a C90 Square lighter, preferably a P model must come with logbook. i was prepared to buy a new frame from honda direct but they are all discontinued. so only option now is a good unrusted/unrotten used frame that is ready for repainting.

Re: Good parts to fix my nicked cub
lol cheers knobby my own bike is a L reg, and frame isn't to bad, just the very edge of the mudguard is just starting to go, and it did have a hole about a inch long and half a inch wide in one the double skinned sections up inside mudguard, it was a bit close to the suspension mount though so a bit worrying. i just wanted a new frame from honda and to just shift everything over to it. would have been easier.

Mine would need lots of work in those areas.
It is salvagable I am sure but would need a bodyshop to do it properly.
It would need blasting, welding, sanding etc etc etc

Re: Good parts to fix my nicked cub
its cool i will either pick another bike up, or i think i have found a new frame. it won't be in the correct colour, but it will be new so i can take steps to ensure it don't rot before i even assemble the bike. thats if the site i found it on isn't fibbing about having stock.
