Townmate Frame

Post by tom149 » Fri Sep 09, 2022 7:04 pm

Hello, i am looking for a Frame for a Yamaha Townmate, No Matter If t50 or t80.
There are two Options:
Either a blue metallic frame in very good condition (little or No Rust)
Or a Frame with little or No Rust in a condition for sandblasting and new painting.
Frame Number etc doesnt Matter .
The biggest Problem is that the frame must bei shipped to Germany.
I know i will hardly find someone who wants to do that, but in Germany or Central Europe i will never get such a frame.
As Mine is rusted through in the area around the right Sidecover, IT will be my only possibility to Swap the frame.
Money or costs should not be the Problem.
I would be very glad If anyone will Help me....
Greetings
Tom

Tom if you find one & arent in a hurry I can lessen your postage by getting the frame to France so saving customs duty

Wayne has left Highway MC & moved to South Wales so that was a dead end.
Somebody said there are lots of scrap Townmate frames in Peloppenes in Greece (hardly local) however a social media post may help you locate a frame.

Apologises couldn't help more

Moto Mavridis in Greece, a bike workshop has a Facebook page, it may be worth putting something on there.

Greece is your best bet and the warmer weather is better for the frame ;)

There's a few bike hire firms still renting them out in Rhodes. I've a photo somewhere of the back of the hire shop in Gennadi, with at least one Townmate nestling in the pile of broken bikes being cannibalised for spares.

I'll see if I have the shop details somewhere. Any lead is worth a follow up.

The hire shop is called Explorer Motorbike and Car rentals.

The Google Maps link is below, which contains their phone number, address etc.

One of the photos shows a Townmate, too! 8-)
