Re: Wanted Helmet lock Barrel & Key
Not many people use the helmet lock, it's not very secure for the helmet really. Think about it before you invest in any sort of replacement.
As a matter of interest, does your key fit the steering lock?

Re: Wanted Helmet lock Barrel & Key
Just make sure if you do buy a replacement set that you get the correct ignition switch,
Theres a 4 wire and 5 wire,
Yours should be the 4 wire but confirm this first.

Re: Wanted Helmet lock Barrel & Key
Try your key in steering wheel lock.
The key barrels normally have their key code numbers internal!
If you strip out both helmet and wheel mechanisms and reassemble bits you may be able to get to one key fits all!
There is a thread to help... on site somewhere
Two new ignition keys and matching-new ignition barrel yesterday from my dealer was 48.5£ inc VAT, for my ‘86
Local scrots might use you helm as a urinal, or worse...
The steering lock makes wheeling it away more difficult.
If you have the barrel numbers you can get a key made up 10.95£ a pair yesterday inc UKs post and pack.
Guess which option...
