WANTED: Honda Daelim citi 100 2003 forks

Post by SMCK » Mon Dec 10, 2018 6:00 pm

Hi all, I'm looking for a pair of front shock for my uncle. I can't find any info about this model online. Can anyone point me in the direction of where i could find a pair of these. They are identical to the attached pic.
Thanks Shane.

Not going to be easy to find alternatives because of the front drum brake the early Modenas Kris 110 is all can think off that might fit but these can be hard to find too.

The forks will be very similar to Honda ANF125 innova ones, but the Innova has a front disc brake, either be a case of replacing the internals of the original forks with innova parts (if they fit) or replacing fork legs and complete front wheel and disc brake from an innova.

All of this would be trial and error.

Thanks Terry

The model name is the GN5, so any front forks for a GN5 bike will work. You could also search under the "Honda Supra", "Honda Nice" or as mentioned, the "Honda Dream"...the Super Cub C100 also uses the same forks, as well as the Astrea EX5.

Armed with that knowledge I'd approach someone like VIP motorcycles in Hanoi, Vietnam and ask if they can provide spares or recommend somewhere that can.

Given that Vietnam, Cambodia, indeed most of Asia will have seen many more of these bikes than we have, I'd say there is a better chance of finding forks and fork parts that way.

It's been established through AE86 and other contributors that there ain't a lot of parts compatibility between the Citi 100 and Honda variants.

Would a 12volt Cub front end fit as a last resort, if you are struggling?

I've seen a Daelim Citi with a leading link front end before (assuming it was from a Cub, but didn't look closely) but how much fudging around to get it to fit and well it worked is something I can't answer.
