Sorry Lyn, I didn't mean to imply that he did.

It's a fair point in your previous post and a good solution if the original forks are repairable.

I had to do that with an old GT 750 Kawasaki as the replacement forks I was sold as the same model & year were a bit different internally.

Stripping and rebuilding one decent set with seals and circlips bought by measured sizes, rather than part numbers was the way to go.

8-)

I had an old 125 Swing legs to do for a mate the one with the caliper mount, don't remember if it was right or left ( age )
The bottom Allen bolt that holds it together was so fast i had to put the leg in the vice...only way to hold it was to make a
clamp in the milling machine to go around the leg first, the bolt would not come undone so i got the lads 1mt long truck
breaker bar on it...Snapped the bloody end off the lag
I could not find one any where eblag EU came up trumps after about three weeks,,,brand new leg from a Honda dealer in Germany
£130 delivered, so i hit the buy it now button....the day it arrived so did my mate with one from Southern Ireland where he had
been for the week end to a road Race meeting 25 Euros from a breakers where they were staying :( :( I still have the new leg..

Would a 12volt Cub front end fit as a last resort, if you are struggling?
Funny, just saw a picture of this exact thing. Apparently it doesn't seem that hard to do as the bike still has the original head stock.
